Of Melaka Chess Festival - Challenger Event Round 4

The pairing for Round 4 for the Challenger section showed a 50-50 share of the lead between 3 Malaysians - Abdul Rahim, Latifah Syamimi and Lum Zhun Hoong and 3 Indonesians - Suci Rohaya, Andrian Endang and Gatot Suyono, all with 3 points. Interesting enough, on Table 4, Terengganu Fairul Yusoff at 2 points will be playing against Yuranda Irawan of Indonesia who has collected 2 1/2 points.

On Table 1, co leaders Latifah Syamimi will square off against fellow Malaysian Abdul Rahim who will be playing the black pieces and on Table 2, its the battle between Indonesian Suci Rohaya playing white against Zhun Hoong. On Table 3, Indonesians Endang Andrian will take on countryman Gatot Suyono.

Kelantanese Mohd Ezmi Mahmood is crawling back to the top after a shocking defeat to KL lass Latifah Syamimi in the second round. The sole representative from Uganda, Wakoko Enos is currently having 2 points after two consecutive wins following his first round loss to co leader Indonesian Endang Andrian. Wakoko will play against Malaysian Madihah Abdul Razak.
